Getting started

Connect via Pterodactyl

Monitor a server through your Pterodactyl panel, no plugin required.

If your host runs Pterodactyl and you cannot (or would rather not) install a plugin, MCTotem can watch your server through the panel API instead.

Setup

  1. In your panel, go to Account, then API Credentials, and create a client API key. It starts with ptlc_.
  2. In the dashboard, open your server's Pterodactyl button and enter the panel URL, the 8-character server ID (visible in the panel URL), and the key.
  3. MCTotem polls resources and streams the console from there.

What you get, and what you do not

Error diagnosis and memory metrics work the same as with the plugin. Two things are not available through the panel API:

  • TPS readings
  • player counts

If you want those, or you plan to use actions or the test player, you need the agent plugin. Both connection methods can be swapped later without losing history.
